Also lured into Darkroom and really like it. I assume there are no brushes here and back to snap seed for those sorts of edits. Nice alternative to Lightroom but not a replacement. I love having options!

Hi Carol. Good observation about Darkroom’s lacking brush effects. Yes, options are always good; way back when I wrote “iPhone Artistry,” I referred to how we move from app-to-app as an App Dance. Enjoy!

Great tutorial, Dan...as always. Lured into getting a subscription to Darkroom. Excellent move to Substack, btw

Question! Darkroom opened my jpg in HEIC. With whatever edits I make will it save as a jpg on my iPhone?

Never mind just used it and realized it puts it back in my photo album. Thanks this is fun.

Thanks, Dan I really enjoyed the tutorial. I’ll look at dark room and I recently had exactly that problem come up and wasn’t quite sure how to deal with it. I tried masking and Lightroom, but it just wasn’t as easy. Thanks.

Dan, I was an early adopter of Darkroom and was very happy with the addition of their gradient tools. Great choices these days between LR, Snapseed, Photomator and Darkroom. Sadly, only LR has the print module. I suppose that’s the last frontier for some of the mobile apps.
